Galt Transport's 70th anniversary

Galt Transport are celebrating their 70th anniversary with lots of exciting plans in place to mark the occasion!  From new additions to the fleet to staff celebrations, 2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us all.

Still owned and operated by the same family, Galt Transport was established in 1947 using four vehicles, together with a horse and cart for local deliveries. These days, the company now runs over 60 vehicles and 100 trailers from four depots across central Scotland and our services have extended to include hiab hire, container lift, storage, distribution and driver training.

Now employing over 60 staff, the company enjoys a low turnover from our loyal workforce. With an average length of service of 10 years, our team share a wealth of industry experience giving us a skills base that’s second to none.  The longest serving member of staff (now retired) was with the company for 38 years and the current team's longest serving member has clocked up an impressive 36 years so far!
